DESCRIPTION
Megalithic culture from the Stone Age is explained in these information signs. Realistic 3D models are created using photogrammetry to compare past use with current appearance. A total of 15 signs provide information about selected megalithic graves in Schleswig-Holstein
1. Fifteen megalithic tombs were selected to be equipped with information boards. Here is the example of the Goosefeld grave.
2. We have documented the selected graves with over 20000 photos from all sides...
3. ...and used photogrammetry to create detailed 3D point clouds. The blue rectangles show the positions of the photographs taken.
4. The point cloud is then cleaned of erroneous and superfluous points and enhanced in 3D software with elements that show what the grave may have looked like in the past.
5. Finally, texts and other information elements, such as the chronological classification or the dimensions of the grave, are added to the information panel.
