DESCRIPTION

This blog documents the excavation on the site of the new Danevirke Museum. The site is located directly on the Ox Trail and in front of the historic gateway that regulated passage through the border fortifications for many centuries in the Middle Ages, making it one of the most historic sites in Schleswig-Holstein. Findings and excavation areas can be georeferenced and integrated into the 3D visualisation at the top.
