DESCRIPTION
The Window into the Past is part of a communication and observation platform in Stexwig at the Sly Firth. In the Viking Age, this was the site of the Sea Barrier, which was used to control ships coming by the narrow. Today it is part of the Hedeby and Danevirke World Heritage Site. A window with a printed graphic reconstruction shows the location and dimensions of the construction, which can no longer be seen above water today.
